Vanessa Collen and Clare AdkinsBoutique launches new shopping experience

Until now one of Suffolk’s best kept designer shopping experiences has only been available to people in the area.

From September 15th thousands more women can join the celebrities, journalists and London regulars who love popping into Collen and Clare when the Southwold-based department store style boutique goes live with an exciting new internet shopping service that aims to replicate the friendly feeling of shopping in the store and make buying the coolest labels even easier.

www.collenandclare.co.uk is like no other fashion website currently available. It is not an online catalogue of thousands of items to click through leaving you bewildered about what to buy, but a diary of selected items featuring photographs and notes to guide you in your decision making. No one is telling you what to buy, but week by week owners Vanessa Collen and Clare Adkins will chose a handful of “must have” items for the season, or occasions or on a theme, including accessories, fragrances and footwear, and give their advice to help you make informed choices.

Enjoying the launch

Think of it as them doing the hard work for you and standing outside the changing room giving the kind of honest advice that is already trusted by many who have already have had their wardrobes opened to the fantastic range of designers that include Nanette Lapore, John Smedley, Nicole Fahri, Paul & Joe, Penelope Chilvers, Mulberry, Paule Ka, Joseph, and Cameron Taylor, as well as Collen and Clare’s own label clothing.

But only the handful of designs selected for that week will feature and only a months’ worth of items will be kept on the site at any time, keeping it upto the minute. So if you want to buy, you have to act fast!

Each item will arrive beautifully packaged in the boutique’s distinctive chocolate brown and light blue packaging and can be gift wrapped and sent to a friend.

A girl is never too young to shop (Even at 4 days old)l

Says Clare Adkins, who founded the boutique six years ago with former investment banker Vanessa Collen, “We want to bring our own special Southwold shopping experience into our customer’s homes. If you’ve been to the shop you know the level of service and the happy environment we offer, if you haven’t this different way of shopping will give you a glimpse of it.”

You can also e-mail or call Collen and Clare on 01502 724823 if you have seen an item elsewhere but cannot get it in your size.
