Established Aldeburgh jeweller changes name of business to reflect increased family involvement
Robin has spent the past 40 years in the jewellery business, ten of which were travelling around the world for a well known International Jewellery Designer, followed by a short spell working with a Hatton Garden manufacturer prior to becoming a Director of a leading West End jewellers. Following his marriage to Astrid, they decided to branch out on their own and purchase their own business. Having found the ideal location in Aldeburgh, they purchased Stephensons, deciding to keep the business name as a mark of respect to the previous owners, and to maintain continuity in trading. The time now seems right to make changes, not only to reflect the family name over the business, but to provide the opportunity to change direction. This enterprising couple have opened an exclusive gallery devoted to beautifully designed, exceptionally well priced silver jewellery, created by some of the top design houses, including ESPRIT JEWELLERY OF THE WORLD, PIERRE CARDIN & LINDA MACDONALD The large range of gold and gem jewellery, pearls and diamonds, is sourced from other top designers and manufacturers throughout the world, the range of exquisite amber jewellery and accessories complement The Amber Shop & Museum in Southwold, also owned by Astrid and Robin. Fournel, Jewellers, also stock a wide range of watches and offer a first class valuation and repair service based on the wide professional experience of the proprietors. The staff in Aldeburgh are extremely well travelled and fully qualified to offer sound advice to customers. Astrid and Robin are proud of the excellent service provided by their team, headed by the manager, Nick Dove. One member of staff has been working in the shop for the past 21 years. The change of name and direction provides a golden opportunity to create a dynamic business, shaking off the stuffy image of years gone by, to offer the customer value for money on a whole range of exciting new jewellery, but staying away from being a trendy boutique. ASTRID
& ROBIN FOURNEL have changed the name of their business to reflect
growing family involvement. Stephensons the Jewellers has been trading
in Aldeburgh for over 80 years, the last 25 years being owned by Astrid
and Robin. With a growing family they decided to place their own name
over the door of this respected quality jeweller.
