We provide superior bed and breakfast accommodation in an Edwardian house which has been thoughtfully and tastefully decorated, retaining many original features. We have been awarded 4 stars by the English Tourist Board.

We are only a 10 minute walk from Southwold Town centre and beach and we are perfectly placed for the many footpaths which start opposite the house which can take you towards Southwold, Walberswick and Dunwich. We have off-road car parking.

We only do 2 double rooms (see link to web page), so you can be certain of the feeling of being 'looked after'. All the products used for breakfast are sourced locally, reducing 'food miles'. Alternatives to a traditional breakfast are available on request, such as locally smoked kippers and vegetarian options. Both bedrooms come with tea, coffee and hot chocolate making facilities and complimentary cookies. We also provide our guests with large fluffy towels and dressing gowns. All rooms have a t.v.

After visiting the area for many years, we finally moved here in December 2006 and have just opened a small-scale bed & breakfast. Gorse House is a 1920s detached property just over the bridge in Reydon. This means that you can walk to the centre of Southwold in just 10 minutes and can leave your car by the house in our spacious off-road front car park. One of the great advantages of our location is that there is some excellent walking in almost every direction.

We have just two rooms, up on the first floor, both freshly-decorated and en-suite, equipped with flat-screen televisions, tea / coffee-making facilities, and big fluffy towels.

Formerly a Village Inn the property has been converted by the present owners, John and Margaret Benson, to include three comfortable ground floor en-suite bedrooms. The rooms are equipped with tea/coffee making facilities, television and hair dryer. Breakfast is served in the breakfast room in the main building and the snug bar has been retained as a bar/lounge for the use of guests.

Brampton is situated 6 1/4 miles from the ever popular Regency Coastal Town of Southwold and the Heritage Coast. The woodland heaths of Dunwich and the Minsmere Bird Sanctuary are also nearby. The start of the Norfolk Broads and the famous 'Cathedral of the Marshes' at Blythburgh are both only 5 miles away.
